At the age of 17, I started my first career - a military career, combat arms, airbourne, and finally dental administrator. I retired from the military in 1991, after 27 years, and started my new profession as a real estate agent. The transition to real estate has been excellent and very rewarding.
In the last 22 years, I have received many awards - Platinum, Gold and Centurion for excellent service and production.
I am a family man- married for 37 years, with 3 children that are now forging ahead with their respective careers.
To me- Barrie is the place I want to live.
Mario Filion (Real Estate Consultant):
As my military career was coming to an end I was looking at doing something else with my life, after all retiring completely at the age of 43 was unthinkable. After browsing the College's program I decided on Real Estate, after all having been in the military for 25 years and several moves later, I certainly know what moving into a new house is all about and with my accounting background, my customer service skills; all I was lacking was the fine details about becoming a Real Estate Salesperson. The Ontario Real Estate Association College certainly provided me with all this. The more I was learning the more I became excited about my new career. I am now very happy about joining Bob Gayler's team and to work from Sign up til Sign down for all our new and current clients.

Licensed in April 2001, I am now approaching the end of my lengthy
military career where I specialized in the area of Financial Management. I am
